It’s still makes me feel amazing when I realize I’m a fashion design student in London.
I hope to find an art form to express my ideas, and finally I choose fashion design. I think this is the best way for me, because I have good hands-on skills, and I like everything related to fashion very much. I can show my ideas through the fabric, color and silhouette of clothes.
At the beginning, I did not consider which school I should study in, nor did I have an in-depth understanding of fashion design. I took this path, so to speak, on an impulse of passion. In the process of learning, I realized that it was a hard subject and not as glamorous as I imagined. Most of the time I stayed in the classroom and was tired of drawing and making clothes. I’m glad that I didn’t give up and enjoy this kind of hard work happily.
London is a vibrant and fashionable city. University of the Arts London is one of the best art universities in the world. Some of my favourite designers have graduated here, such as Alexander McQueen and Simone Rocha. I am longing for this city, because I can have better educational resources and more opportunities in this city, I can visit interesting museums and art exhibitions, and meet friends from all over the world. My knowledge base will be enhanced, which is beneficial to the development of my thinking, so as to make more meaningful and meaningful works.
However, at the beginning, I only longed for London and did not imagine that one day I could really study here, because I thought I was not good enough compared with others and could not be admitted to this highly competitive school. I changed my mind because of an upperclassman who worked with me together. He was admitted to University of the Arts London through his own efforts, and I began to think that this school does not seem too far away for me. As long as I have a firm determination and make more efforts than others, I can make my dream come true just like him.
I’m so happy that I did it. Maybe that’s how I came to be here. I will cherish the years of studying in London, which I believe will be of great help to my future and will be a wonderful memory in my life. I am proud to be a student of University of the Arts London, and I hope the university will be proud of me in the future.
